Coming On Your Own?
Please do.
Lots of people who come through our doors arrive on their own — whether it’s for a workshop, an evening event, one of our socials or simply because they fancy trying something new.
You certainly won’t be the only one, and you won’t be made to feel like you’re on your own once you’re here.
Workshops & Events
Most of our workshops and events need to be booked in advance as spaces are limited.
Everything currently available to book can be found on our website, with full details, dates, times and what’s included on each individual event page.
Please have a quick read through the individual event information before booking, as every workshop is a little different.
Workshop Cancellations & Refunds
When you book a workshop or event, your place is reserved especially for you.
Materials may be purchased and prepared in advance, and many of our external tutors and event hosts are booked and paid based on confirmed numbers. For this reason, we’re unable to offer a refund if you can’t attend.
You’re very welcome to send a friend in your place — just let us know their name before the workshop or event begins.
If we need to cancel or reschedule an event for any reason, you’ll always be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another date.
Thank you for understanding. Every booking helps us support the wonderful people who bring their skills to Calme Nest and allows us to continue offering creative, social and wellbeing events for our community.
Food & Drink
Coffee, tea, cake and other refreshments are available to purchase at all of our events and on our Café Connection days.
Some events include food or refreshments within the ticket price and others don’t. We’ll always make this clear on the individual event description.
If you have a food allergy or dietary requirement, please contact us before attending an event involving food so we can let you know what we’re able to accommodate.
Accessibility
If you have any accessibility requirements, mobility concerns or you’re unsure whether a particular workshop or event will be suitable for you, please get in touch before booking.
We’re always happy to talk things through and help wherever we can.
Private Hire
Calme Nest is available for private gatherings, small celebrations, groups and special events.
If you have an idea, have a chat with us. Some of our favourite things have started with somebody saying, “I’ve been thinking…”
A Little Reassurance…
You don’t need to already know somebody to come to Calme Nest.
You don’t need to be wonderfully creative.
You don’t need to be good at painting, sewing, crochet, crafting or anything else before you book a beginner-friendly event.
And you certainly don’t need to bring somebody with you.
Come to learn something. Come to make something. Come to meet people. Come for a laugh. Or simply come because you fancy getting out of the house and doing something for yourself for a couple of hours.
Craft. Create. Connect.
That’s what Calme Nest is all about.
