Friendship evenings at Calme

These evenings have become something really special, and after such a lovely response, we’ve added two new dates!

A room full of lovely ladies, genuine people, kind hearts and conversations that remind us how much a little time together can mean.

Some come on their own, others with besties, in pairs or groups, and we’ve welcomed mothers and daughters enjoying an evening together too. Whether you’re hoping to meet new people or spend time with someone you treasure, there’s a place for you at our table.

Life has a way of changing our circles. People move, retire, get busy, families grow up, or life simply takes us in different directions. Sometimes you just realise you’d quite like to meet some new people — and finding somewhere to begin can be the hardest part.

That’s why we created You’ve Got a Friend in Me.

Come as you are, enjoy coffee and cake, and give yourself an evening of company, conversation and connection. If you’re arriving alone or feeling a little nervous, we’ll welcome you personally and help with introductions so you can settle in.

A little time to switch off 💗

Following conversations with our ladies, we’re bringing some gentle elements of digital detox into these evenings — a chance to put our phones aside for a while and enjoy being present with each other.

We’ll still have our lovely shared table, with space to step away for quieter moments too. You might prefer a conversation with one or two other ladies, a little breathing space, or simply a slower pace as you get to know someone. We want you to feel comfortable finding your own way to enjoy the evening.

Angel cards to finish ✨

Our angel cards were thoroughly enjoyed at the October event, so we’ll be bringing them out again towards the end of the evening for anyone who would like their cards read.

It’s a playful little moment, shared with heart and love, and a lovely way to open up a conversation or leave with something thoughtful to take away. Joining in is entirely your choice.
