Introduction to Sewing Machines – Choose Your Date
A gentle, confidence-building sewing workshop designed for complete beginners and anyone who feels a little “rusty but curious.”
• A relaxed and welcoming space where there’s no pressure, no rushing, and no expectation to be perfect.
Just time to gently build confidence, ask questions, and finally make sense of all those buttons, dials, and bits of thread.
What You’ll Learn
• What the main buttons and controls actually do
• How to thread a machine and wind a bobbin
• How to solve common sewing machine frustrations
• Simple stitches and when to use them
• How to sew calmly, confidently, and at your own pace
A Relaxed and Supportive Experience
• Plenty of time to ask questions (there really are no silly questions)
• A small, friendly group with lots of individual attention
• Time to chat, connect, and enjoy the process
• A refreshment break with tea or coffee included

Workshop Details
• Beginner & Refresher Friendly
• Approx. 2 hours, including a refreshment break
• Tea or coffee included
• Maximum of 4 participants
• £39 per person
• Bringing your own sewing machine is recommended, as you’ll learn on the machine you’ll be using at home.
• Don’t have a machine yet? Contact us before booking to check availability of one of ours. This can be a lovely way to try sewing and see whether it’s something you’d enjoy before investing in your own machine.

To make sure everyone receives plenty of hands-on support and individual attention, these beginner workshops are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of four participants.
If availability allows, your session may even run as a one-to-one workshop, giving you dedicated guidance throughout. Whether it’s one-to-one or a small group, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, supportive learning experience with plenty of time for questions.
