Crochet is having a proper comeback — and we are completely here for it. ✨

Whether you’ve never picked up a hook in your life, you’ve tried before and ended up in a yarn-based wrestling match, or you already know your way around a few stitches, this relaxed 1½ hour workshop with Nic Addis is for you.

And we’d especially love to encourage parents and their chicklets to come along together. 💕

As the evenings start getting darker and we spend a little more time tucked up indoors, there’s something really lovely about finding a hobby you can share — and yes, this is your official excuse to escape the screens for a bit. 🌙✨

If you’ve got a child aged 12+ who you think might enjoy sitting down, choosing some fabulous, slightly zany yarn and learning how to crochet, bring them along with you.

It’s an hour and a half together, away from screens, learning something with your hands — and who knows where it might lead? 🌈

They might decide it’s absolutely not for them. 😂
They might spend the whole time asking, “Is it meant to look like this?” every 30 seconds.
Or they might discover a brand new hobby, start making things for themselves, get their friends involved and suddenly have yarn permanently taking over their bedroom. 🦄🩷

Either way, you’ve had that little bit of time together — and possibly found a new family obsession you didn’t see coming.

🩵✨ What can you expect?

Complete beginners are absolutely welcome.

Nic will gently take you through the basics, help you get comfortable holding your hook and yarn and get you actually crocheting — without drowning you in complicated terminology.

If you’ve already had a go, brilliant. Come and practise, ask questions, improve your technique or bring something you’re already working on if you’d like a little help.

We’ll have yarn available for you to practise with, but if you’ve already got some at home — or you spot something bright, fluffy, chunky, stripy, neon, sparkly or completely bonkers that you fancy trying — bring it along. 💕✨

And please don’t jump on Amazon and order a giant crochet set just yet! 😂

We’ve got crochet hooks available on the cheap here at Calme Nest, including easy-grip hooks, so wait and try it first. 😂

See how it feels in your hand, have a proper go and then decide what you actually need.

Much better than ending up with 27 hooks, six stitch markers and some mysterious little gadget nobody can identify. 😂🦄
